South County is blessed with beautiful coastline and open spaces. If the beach isn’t your thing, there is still plenty to do. Numerous hiking trails surround the area, or just take a stroll along the sea wall and people watch. Other activities include polo, boating, fishing, and kite flying! You imagination is the limit!

Rainy Days don't disappoint at George's of Galilee, where you can still get a view watching the fishing boats come in and out of the Harbor.

Rainy days giving you the blues? Don’t turn on the TV, explore an endless list of indoor things to do. Historical places, museums, music venues, mansions, wineries, breweries, bowling. I’ve listed a few that are super close, but a short drive will take you to all ends of the state!

So many venues to chose from, day or night. A local gem in Peacedale is the Pump House Music Works. Some of the best musicians in a gorgeous historical setting on a pond.

night life

Stepping out in the evenings can mean many things. Dinner and a show, dancing, a trek to Providence night life or closer – Newport. Take a night stroll on the seawall, venture into one of the many local places at the beach, or sit by a fire and sip a cocktail near the Pond. Many of the eateries morph into nightlife as the night goes on, often with music or fires.
